WILDERNESS CHAMPION

Fascinating story of a great hound, lost as a puppy along the trail, and adopted by the king wolf. Johnny, his former owner, plots ways in which to redeem Reddy from his wild life, and gets his chance when Reddy in snared by some lawbreakers and set free by Johnny. Thanks to Reddy, Johnny gets a chance at a ranch job where Reddy's skill in the hunt is against the mountain lions. His fame spreads -- he is taken to and entered in the field trials. Eventually, Johnny and Reddy return to Aller and for a time Reddy seeks out his old wild life and his foster father, the wolf. A rugged and dramatic og story -- good adventure -- and sound background of the life in the wilds.
