COWBOY KEN by Josephine De Witt

COWBOY KEN

By

Pub Date: Sept. 16th, 1943
Publisher: Oxford

The text is too old for the Picture Story Book classification; the format indicates a younger market than the text, either from the angle of mechanical difficulty or content. And yet any six year old who liked cowboys and horses (the younger members of Lone Ranger's listening public) would love the story and the pictures. Ken had a pretend horse and a real hero; when his birthday was celebrated by his seeing his first rodeo, by his recognizing (and being recognized by) a real horse named Sunbeam, and when his cowboy here came to his birthday party, life was full to overflowing.
