BUT YOU ARE YOUNG

This once again fictionizes a familiar problem, but not one, this time, which is shared by as many of her public as the previous ""tracts"". Better written -- or perhaps better edited -- so that one senses a good craftsman behind the story. It is a homely problem of the ""little man"" genre, -- a family kept from pauperism by the one daughter who is earning -- and of how they proved a millstone round her neck, destroying her youth, preventing natural contacts, frustrating natural longings. She thinks she has found a way out -- and twice it fails; finally she seizes the opportunity, flaunts her skirts at responsibility and escapes. Young love and hard times.
