KIRKUS REVIEW

Forty meditations drawn from experience show how love can affect relationships in personal religion, in the home, and in the wider community. Each is prefaced by a Biblical text, and concludes with a brief prayer. The themes range over a wide variety of topics related loosely to the title of the volume, and are developed with personal anecdote, comment, and reflection. A mildly hortatory tone pervades. The length of each meditation suggests that they are meant for daily reading by the individual or in family circles. The style is competent and readable.
