THIS IS OUR LAND

A categorical survey, for supplementary use in social studies, of some of the major geographical and occupational features indigenous to the many diversified sections of the United States. Beginning with a seasonal run-down of our weather and continuing with a glance at farms and forests, mountains, mines and deserts, towns and cities, third and fourth graders are introduced with a bird's-eye-view to the vital areas of the United States and the interests pertinent to each. Illustrations in 4 colors by Esther Friend are generous although not yet seen.
