KIRKUS REVIEW

Short stories which feature the excitement as well as the character-building aspects of football, these should have a wide audience among the pigskin followers. From the pens of William Heyliger, B. J. Chute, Harold Sherman, Stephen Holt, Charles Coombs, Fletcher D. Slater, and H. W. Sandberg, they emphasize the need for cooperation, control as well as conscience, and the ethics of sportsmanship. There's some humor too and more than enough thrills for boys in this age group.
