KIRKUS REVIEW

Period piece of the paper-backed novel school, in the adventures and misadventures of the Turner family, in New York of 1905. The youngest daughter, Posie, conceals the identity of her child's father and the fact that she is secretly married. This and another scandal keep the family in retirement -- but it all turns out happily. Reflects in chromo style the fashions, styles, slang, ways of thought of the period.
