SOUR CREAM WITH EVERYTHING

This is a switch but not much of a change from the Inspector Dover series and here Edmund Brown, a teacher, is unwillingly recruited as a secret agent and sent to a rest home in Russia. He is in a kopeck of trouble from start to finish, forced to eliminate a man in the lavatory--an innocent one at that, exposed, and finally interned in the British Embassy. There's one character called Pimples and Edmund's finance is Miss Schwindlingfisch; if you are a fish, maybe you will be swindled by this kind of humor.
