DOVER GOES TO POTT

Hammphing and galumphing through this, at least his fifth appearance, Dover is sent to Pott Winckle where they manufacture chamber pots and where the only daughter of the town magnate is murdered, one Wibbley. Wibbley offers to keep Dover in clover if he can bring in the evidence against his son-in-law but then there's the fact that she was pregnant, and her husband could not possibly have obliged. . . . Dover is a man of few words and one of them is bloody (three times in four lines); you could find him a bloody bore but there are those who like this potted palmy series.
