Report repeated from page 90 of the February 15th bulletin, when scheduled for earlier publication, as follows: ""With somewhat more serious intonations than Marriage Is A Private Affair (Harper, 1941) but again the glossy finish, this projects a political and personal drama centering around a Russian peace party mission to Washington. With the arrival of Krosov, and Anya- his attractive assistant- from Moscow, it is John Wilson, old type State Department, who suspects and rejects the Russian overtures, while Gannett Wilson, his son, an idealist, an internationalist, is susceptible to the Russian delegates, and is particularly convinced of Anya's sincerity. Father and son break over the issue as John Wilson dismisses the 'road company Rasputin' and Gannett sees the justification of his belief when Anya, who allowed her own plea for pacifism to go beyond official protocol, is recalled for her weakness- to be killed... Not quite, as claimed, a thriller-but a nice neat job.
