BROWN HILLS

Continuation of The River Pasture. Nice but not important, nor as vital as the Rak books, for instance. More of the creatures of the ranch than of man, -- cows, bulls, calves, goats, kids, cats, kittens, dogs, pups, horses, and so on; the problems of feeding stock in dry seasons, the fights to keep them alive, success and failure. An observant eye for seasonal changes, with interest focussed on animals.
