A PREFACE TO MATURITY

Another of these everlastingly self-conscious adolescents who stages rebellion on all battlegrounds and talks about each gesture. Delineation of a young girl growing up, the father a suicide, the mother a successful business woman, the girl an experimenter with life, until a good young man comes along and saves her from herself. Careful -- workmanlike -- thorough -- but uninspired and young. Perhaps too definitely autobiographical to be of general interest.
