DEATH OF A WORLD: Vol. VII -- -- Men of Good Will

This is more by way of announcement than a report, since the interest and market for this seventh volume of the monumental work is obviously dependent on the previous volumes. The last volume brought the story up to the period preceding the war. This volume picks up the thread of the story, and carries on most of the characters of the last book, involving them more and more deeply in French politics and matters of church and state. Poincare -- Jaures -- Merry del Val, other eminent figures in European politics take part in the action. One has a sense of participation in the almost journalistic pace of the story. (Mission to Rome -- first part; The Black Flag -- second part). Quinette back on the scene in The Black Flag. Ends with France -- July 1914.
