The market is set -- as this is the fourth volume of Men of Good Will and very definitely an important item for these who have road the preceding volumes:- Men of Good Will, Fassion's Pilgrims, The Proud and the Meek. Check your sales records on these titles, and notify the customers of the publication of this volume. Again it contains two of the French titles:- The Lonely, a metropolitan panorama of the restlessness of the young intellectuals before the war; and Provincial Interlude which takes the reader into the life of the provincial aristocracy. Throughout the whole of this series, one feels, however, that the city of Paris is the keynote to the diffusion of interests, the shifting focus. Characters from the other volumes appear and reappear; new characters enter. Unquestionably, this monumental work will prove, if it has not already done so, one of the most important literary achievements of our time.
