FIDDLER'S FANCY

Warm and regional is this story of life a century ago in the Toe River country of North Carolina. The McCrarys, especially young Angeline and Billy, are thrilled at the prospect of a visit from Mr. O'Halloran, the peddler. When he comes, his store of wares is not the only cause for excitement, fascinating as it is. There is a rousing party, the discovery of a vain of mica, and as the children get the chance to earn what they want most, there are steps taken towards maturity too.
