KIRKUS REVIEW

For the man with a home workshop- or a yen for one- this should prove of inestimable value. Introduction gives every justification for indulging in a well-equipped shop, as an economic necessity and good recreation. Minimum requirements, so far as equipment is concerned, in the way of tools (power tools a luxury). Then successive sections of things to make, and how to make them, materials required and costs. Kitchen accessories, household conveniences, furniture, outdoor and play accessories, novelties. Falls short in passing over too superficially the basic principles in the use of various tools (perhaps taking this for granted) and in use of terms.
