BEASTS FROM A BRUSH

Imaginative and appropriately matched words and drawings by a well established children's artist is a venturesome voyage through a pen and brush wonderland, where fancy and reality are well mixed. For example, ""Ready to spring on the least little thing"", shows a cross between a Jackal and hyena, we're not sure. But it certainly is ready to spring. A water buffalo coming through a marsh is described ""With clipping tread comes the horned head."" Throughout, the idea of the this way, action is prominent and where different shades of reality are involved, anyone whose thoughts run free will know what is meant.
