PRICE CONTROL IN THE ECONOMY WAR

Hirach served as Sec. for Economics under the Weimar republic from 1915 to 1938. He is now giving the benefit of his knowledge through his services in our federal price control agencies. This book is, therefore, the outgrowth of not only an understanding of how Germany dealt with excesses of inflation, how rigid price control became a vital factor in the fascist regime, but where it must operate in all countries during war years. Its chief value however lies in the careful and thorough analysis of all the elements involved, of variations on actual, possible or probable developments, on their results -- good and bad, temporary and permanent, on business.
