The author of It's Fan To Know Why presents a marvellous approach to the wonders of the natural world through the simplest of mechanisms, the magnifying glass. Divided into those sections- things around you, plants, animals and artifacts designed by man- the book does not stop with what can be seen directly through a lense. Using the lens as a springboard, the author goes on to describe for example, atomic structure as exemplified in the crystallization of salt, the life cycle of a spider, or the process of printing.
