In the Caucasus, as we've all heard, healthy, active, sexually potent centenarians abound, and from a visit Dr. Williams personally attests to randy 90-year-olds in search of brides. Lamb testicles are just one of the ""sex secrets"" you'll discover here; other nutrition wonders are Biotin (""the cheerful vitamin""), vitamin P (""for permeability""), and vitamin U (""it's the vitamin scientists are still trying to find"") as well as exotic trace minerals. Such an alphabet soup might confound even the best-stocked health-food store, but, nothing daunted, Dr. Williams tells how to ward off all deficiencies. Caucasian diets--reliant on whole grains, yogurt, fresh fruits, and vegetables--are hard to fault, except for the presence of organ meats. In chemical-happy America, doctors have warned that organs contain high concentrations of toxins. Williams touts roughage, disparages fad diets, and explains the medicinal properties of select herbs. Nonetheless, a list of ""Big Twelve"" foods for improved sexual performance and a pitch for ""source foods"" (seeds and pits) tilt this melange of Caucasus folklore and basic recipes in the direction of sheer quackery.
