This is a fairly comprehensive, slickly written record of prophets throughout history from the oracles and diviners of Egypt, Greece and Rome to the Druids (Merlin was a real druidic magician) and seers of Tibet, Babylon, China, Mexico (Montezuma, a skilled astronomer, foresaw his tragic destiny). There are fulfilled prophecies of Britain's destiny, the French Revolution, lives of heads of state and catastrophes from earthquakes to plagues. This touches on the lives of Eire's Malachy O'Morgain, Cagliostro, Nostradamus (whose last prediction--the date of his body's exhumation--was found inside the casket), England's most famous witch Mother Shipton, and of course, Edgar Cayce, Jeanne Dixon and Maurice Woodruff. The author has dredged up some interesting details on ancient rituals and ceremonies and included histories of some of our more interesting curses (the fatal flaw in the Hope Diamond most prominent here). All prophetable enough to insure paper-backing.
