A sympathetic picture of a marriage that, in spite of a husband's genius, and his wife's troubles about children, household, money, hangs together. Sandy is lifted out of his backwater by solicitous friends, provided with an efficient, young helper, and the literary whirl they are caught up in flatters Sandy to the point of dropping his autobiography, rushing to America to lecture. finds a true friend, counsellor, in humorist A. R. Crowdrey, and through him, finds balance, self reliance for the future, when Sandy returns to her. Very nice.
