A looking backward book, setting down all she remembers of Spain, with real feeling for the country, past and present and she goes from one thing to another as reminiscence flashes across her mental horizon. No continuity -- architecture, countryside, legend, artists, historical figures, towns, people, customs -- simply her subjective reactions. Reads somewhat superficially; in the face of present conditions, seems already dated.
