An invitation to share a lifetime interest (and a disregard for caloric factors) presents a variety of recipes for breakfasts, brunches, lunches, teas- on the daintier side, suppers and dinners, with a predilection for hotbreads, desserts, cakes, and a number of dishes from the ""good old days"" or recommended by her radio and TV public. Many of them can be prepared practically and simply with never-fail results; many (casseroles, etc.) lend themselves to informal entertaining; most presuppose homey to hearty tastes in food (some even stauncher stomachs- bacon 'n bananas; peanut butter soup) rather than gastronomical subtlety..... The popularity of Miss Smith's presence may help to bring this into many simpler kitchens.
