KIRKUS REVIEW

Miss Adams can always be counted on for a good story, with some element of mystery tucked in, and usually a foreign background. This time it is the story of Christian, an American girl who had traveled all the way to Strasbourg to live with a cousin, only to find the cousin dead, and the fortune vanished. How she took some cousins poorer than herself under her wing, how she made friends in a strange new city, and the adventures and sorrows and joys that came to her, combine to make good reading for girls and boys as well.
