KIRKUS REVIEW

The owner of a small place, an acre or a suburban plot, will find this book specially adapted to his needs, indeed it was written for him. The Storms love their garden and take it indoors with them to the sun porch in winter, thus providing themselves with a year round hobby and their garden borders with well developed seedlings each spring. A book which puts all the wisdom of a garden lover and a garden architect at the disposal of the amateur at a time of year when he has the leisure to read and digest it, plan his garden and start his seedlings in time to have a border full of bloom the first year. Why more publishers haven't realized that fall is the proper season to publish garden books has always been a mystery.
