KIRKUS REVIEW

Short biographies of Catholic converts of the 19th century, who include Sara Peter, Ira Dutton, Sophia Ripley, Orestes Brownson, the Paulist group, and other not too important Americans. The human interest in so-so, the Catholic interest much greater. A book for Catholics and Catholic libraries. The ""I was in complete error"" attitude of the new converts from other creeds is apt to irritate those outside the faith.
