MICHAEL THE COLT

For children who love horses and even for those who don't, this is an enchanting bit about a playful colt and the first four weeks of his life. The drawings of his early gangling attempts to stand and run and kick are the most appealing I have ever seen. A smallish book with a picture for each page, a bit of color and small masses of types make an ideal page arrangement and inviting book for easy self-reading. It can be read aloud to younger brother or sister.
