KIRKUS REVIEW

Warm, delightfully gay story of little Sandalio who lived in Chile. Sandalio's energetic if sometimes misguided efforts to get the family cow and the calf to shape to win at the Valparaiso cattle fair are engagingly told and funny. written, with warmth, with color, with a real feeling for the country and the people.
