The story of a Canadian who followed his own star. Air minded from boyhood he worked for his flying hours, his license, was turned back when he wanted to fight for the Chinese, turned down by the Royal Canadian Air Force for educational gaps, reached England via freighter convoy, and was sent back because he had no birth certificate, only to return with the papers, and to be accepted by the R.A.F. Over Malta, he proved his fitness. There is lots of material about planes, personal knowledge of the , the civilians, etc. Informal collaboration.
