KIRKUS REVIEW

The picture story format makes this look younger than the quality of the text suggests. Third in the series which tell of the seasonal changes and charms on a real farm with many animals and rich growing things. Now apples and pumpkins are gathered as the geese fly overhead and all is made ready for the harsh winter season. Genuine farm atmosphere as Farmer Allen and his wife reap the summer rewards. A busload of children from the school in town renew their acquaintance with ducks, calf, and other farm creatures. And a stray dog and a pony come for Thanksgiving dinner too.
