KIRKUS REVIEW

A dull collection of moral tales based on Christmas legends of many lands. Many saints and sad and beaten orphans and little cripples and abused children find their rewards on Christmas morning. There are occasional bright spots as in Selma Legerlog's Christmas story of the rose that bloomed in the winter, but there aren't enough of these to alter the general low level. Crowded text pages make difficult reading. We much prefer the stories reported above.
