KIRKUS REVIEW

Florida in process of becoming a tourists' Paradise is the setting for violent death and plenty of false clue-ing. The ""I"" of the story is recalled from Wales by a friend of childhood days, whose letter (announcing her marriage to a much younger man) sounds a note of peril. The peril reveals itself in brief space of time:- the husband forgets a dinner party- immediately on his returning a dying man staggers into sight; alibis prove weak for a number of guests; threats appear; a ""front"" on a real estate project is killed- and the inquiring friend gets a terrific shock in discovering the truth.
