KIRKUS REVIEW

The heroine-in-flight theme for Vera's chase from Paris to a Swiss mountain resort is centered on her hopes of protecting her husband Maurice's daughter, Annice, from his dire threats. Her appeal to a stranger brings photographer Billings to her aid and it is after assorted murders and mayhem that Annice and Vera are at last safe. Suspense rather than mystery and riding a funicular at that.
