MAIDEN VOYAGE

There is a tone of authenticity in the background of Tony, Mrs. Norris' new heroine, a blue-eyed young society reporter, and there is a new theme in the romance between Tony and her editor, a married man whose wife she likes. It is a story of how they tried to play fair, of how Fate stepped in and made a compromise possible, and how -- given the chance -- they found they didn't want it after all. The setting of the story is San Francisco. And the market, the usual array of feminine readers who are on the permanent waiting list for everything she writes.
