STAR WARS: THE TRUCE AT BAKURA

Publisher: Bantam

More movie-inspired folderol, with a change in author (from Timothy Zahn and Star Wars Volume II) and a switch in time-frame back to the days immediately following the last movie, The Return of the Jedi, though populated by all the usual characters, princesses, ghosts, etc. This time, the rebel Alliance must fight alongside the evil Empire to defend the remote planet Bakura, which is menaced by an invasion of reptilian-alien Ssi-ruuk. In texture, it closely resembles the movies—but, what with the so-so plot and minimal action, silver-screen fans hoping for similarly special print effects are likely to be disappointed.
