The fourth ""Baby"" book by Chorao, this collection of lyric poetry is a companion to The Baby's Bedtime Book, offering a selection of poems on nature, morning, and beginnings. Chorao ranges from Dickinson's wistful ""Will There Really Be a Morning?"" to Bergengren's deliciously nasty ""The Worm"" to the simple, eternal ""One Misty, Moisty Morning."" Illustrations are soft, full-color pictures, penciled in pastel hues, which often extend to full-page spreads, depicting children in a variety of settings. The results are thoroughly sweet in the best sense: too much if read all at once, but just right in small doses. While not as useful as bedtime poetry, this excellent collection is the most comprehensive available on the theme. Fans of previous titles in this series will not be disappointed.
