DOCTOR ALICE'S DAUGHTER by Kay Hamilton

DOCTOR ALICE'S DAUGHTER

By

Pub Date: May 15th, 1950
Publisher: Macrae-Smith

Some only slightly scientific and largely romantic incidents which concern Doctor Alien, widowed and hardworking as a general practitioner in a small community; her daughter, Jan, a seemingly indolent, petulant piece whose real trouble is her sense of rejection by her too busy mother; Gliff Walton, who falls in love with Doctor Alice; and Edward Connelly, the doctor's new assistant who fails in love with Jan. It takes time for Jan to forget the resentment against the profession which has absorbed her mother so that she can admit and accept her love for Edward -- which she does. Harmless, this is also pretty charmless.
