Of Kathie, an artist, earnest but unrewarded, who gets her first big commission when she undertakes the portrait of Baird Thompson, aggressive and successful. She falls in love with Baird and agrees to marry him, but it is her completed portrait which first shows her the cruelty in his character. And when left with the care of her orphaned twin niece and nephew, and Baird evades her responsibility, she breaks with Baird. It is only a matter of time until Don, also an artist, replaces Baird and proves a fine father for the twins.... Properly virtuous and perfectly pleasant.
