KIRKUS REVIEW

Childhood recollections of Lafcadio Hearn by his half Japanese son. A very naive and rambling string of youthful memories, not only of Hearn but of many domestic and inconsequential incidents. A formless and wandering performance, from which no very vivid or attractive picture of Hearn himself emerges. Can't see much market for this, outside the limits of Hearn admirers.
