Chidi and Michael are friends who live in South Africa. Michael comes to visit Chidi at his home, with a bag of toys to share. The boys play together, look at Chidi’s books and maps, milk the goat and feed the hens, and have a snack. On pages showing all this activity, several words—mostly nouns—appear in Zulu and in English, and are illustrated. A glossary appears at the end, with a pronunciation guide that explains how to make the distinctive “click” sound in Zulu, as in the q in iquanda (egg).
