TRIPLE-THREAT PATROL

An old hand at fast adventure stories for boys turns in a tale of timber theft on Puget Sound. 16 year olds, Chuck and Doc, are on a motor boat camping vacation and are stranded on an island where Tim Elliot, also 16, tells them of Jarvis, whose pirates change log brands, and of his own grudges against big time lumbermen. Chuck and Doc stay on to help Tim and his grandfather in their handlogging and, with some ingenuity, to outwit and nail Jarvis. It is Chuck's father who adds to the happy ending by taking the logs at an adequate price.
