I'm frank in saying that I read this with one idea predominating. Was it going to be of constructive value for the bookseller, in application to his special problem. My conclusion is ""no"" -- that it is intended more as a philosophy of distribution, an eye opener to the short comings of the present systems, a practical and suggestive working proposition for the large merchant, the department store, the wholesaler with sales staffs going out into the retail trade. Good stuff -- but not A B C merchandising suggestions for the small retailer.
