MEN OF OTHER PLANETS

By

Pub Date: April 2nd, 1951
Publisher: Pellegrini & Cudahy

A curious goulash of fact and fancy, with a base of statistics about conditions on other planets of our solar system, seasoned with Well?ian condiments, astounding science dressing, and served in a flying saucer. The result is an uneven dish, interesting in spots, confusing in others. Because the author has failed-probably deliberately-to differentiate between fact and fancy, truth and myth, he imposes on the reader an aura of general distrust, weakening the impact and excitement that can be achieved by the known truths. Witness the possibility of doing this in the picture Destination Moon which stayed within known truths and scientifically possible projects.
