On the scientific side I am not competent to judge this (and our ""specialist"" is on vacation). But on the extravagantly unscientific side, I should say it was a unique sort of science for the neophyte. In photographs, with descriptive text, all sorts of basic scientific facts are removed from the mystery class and demonstrated with the kind of equipment found in most households, in such a way that it provides after dinner entertainment for your guests. 111 home tricks- each illustrating the hows and whys of science, in such things as jet propulsion, sound waves, electric current, and so on. Should be of plus sale to boys.
