Here, it is hoped readers will discover that organic life is a transmitting for the vibrations to the earth from higher levels in the Ray of Creation, and that the intermittent concentrations of vibrations (of which the universe is made) cause what we know as worlds as well as being the intervals in a complicated system of , for these ideas are not fully developed until the middle of the book, at the end of the third chapter, Walker seems to be irrevocably taken with the idea that we (men) are just walking around in a state of perpetual sleep. These and other transures of esoteric truth, Walker received from P. D. Ouspensky, scientist, writer, lecturer who had his heyday in the post WWI spiritual circles of London. in turn, learned from a fiery South Russian, Gurdjieff, mystic, dancer, talker, etc. The book first describes the teachings of Ouspensky, then the personality of Gurdjieff, both of which can be taken for what the reader pleases to give. Generally burning in a cosmic glow that often blinds us to the scientific fact rather than elucidating its elements, there are nevertheless in this little system, the traditional ear marks of good sense know thyself, learn to laugh, don't worry about what other people think, live in harmony.
