VISITORS FROM LONDON

A first rate story of London evacuees, mothers and children, billeted on a recently acquired old farmhouse with an absentee owner. There's lots of originality and humor and a sympathetic understanding which indicates that the author knows whereof she writes, and knows it by experience. Adults will like this story enormously, for it has lots of drama in the telling, and the response of boys and girls of different types to the experience makes a liberal education in social adaptation.
