THE PEOPLE AGAINST O'HARA

The inside operations of New York's Homicide Bureau, and the later trial tactics and techniques which follow for the story of the shooting of an ex-con and the immediate arrest of the neighborhood boy who worked for him, Johnny O'Hara. The retention of Curtayne, a broke and broken down trial lawyer to defend the boy- who wont talk- takes the case through the first trial, which Curtayne loses, to his subsequent clearance of his client when he exposes himself to the killer to get the evidence he needs. There's a nice portrayal here of Curtayne, the counselor who never loses faith in his case- though the actual detection interest is slight.
