DRINK TO ME ONLY.....

The problem of the periodic drunkard and the tenacious efforts of the woman he loves to help him conquer his weakness forms the focus of this novel, which is an unusual -- though not wholly satisfying -- approach to a ticklish subject. Denise has learned of Brad's secret tippling and his inability to fight alone, and for a time withstands his proposals but finally marries him only to learn that even her strength is inadequate to the problem. Chance gives her a weapon, and by refusing to divulge the secret of an attack on her, she uses it to frighten Brad as to what his ignorance of his actions during a drinking bout might lead to, and raises hope for his temperance.
