Creasey, Marric, York, etc. has written just as feminine an account of domestic victimization when Catherine suspects that her son, Ronald, a defiant 17, is involved in a theft and probably guilty of murder. Her husband is even more protective of Ronald, which to some extent has estranged Catherine, and Dr. Cellini, who helps to handle the family and the case, does succeed in salvaging the marriage... So-so suspense and suspicion on a household leash.
